I have worked in the music industry my whole life, working as a session musician performing over 2000 gigs worldwide, including playing for Noel Gallagher, Scissor Sisters and Kasabian. I currently work with independent artists on strategy, development and social media with music. I have personally released 2 albums and over 20 singles achieving over 3 million streams. My track record speaks for itself and I can give you the tools and strategies to guide you. The consultation is tailored towards your needs and focuses around release strategies, breaking an artist and social media growth in music. What you will need for a trumpet lesson:
• A Trumpet
• A laptop or tablet with a working web cam
• Microphone (ideally a USB). Laptop or phone microphones squash the sound and I won't be able to hear you!
• Set up your device in a stable position and in a way that I’ll be able to see your fingers on the keys and your embouchure.
• A good internet connection, with an upload speed of at least 2MB. Test your connection here
Alternatively, you will need a computer with a separate webcam/microphone and speakers/headphones.
We’ll be video calling each other via an online platform called Zoom. You can either install their software, app or use it via your browser.
Please make sure to set up your equipment before our lesson starts, including testing Zoom at least a day before, to make sure it works for you.
Make sure that you’re in a quiet room where you won’t be interrupted and your playing won’t be a nuisance to other people.
If your internet connection is unstable or we find throughout the lesson that your internet connection is not able to sustain our video call, we will stop the video call and we will work via a different method. We can discuss this a little better if we find the need for it.

Biography
Gary studied jazz trumpet at Leeds College of Music.
He started his session career in 1999 with the Super Furry Animals, touring and playing on 4 of their studio albums. He also played on Gruff Rhys solo album, Hotel Shampoo. Gary started recording with Kasabian in 2006 playing on 5 of their studio albums to date. He toured next with the Scissor Sisters on their UK dates and for their live DVD recorded at London O2 arena. Gary has recorded albums in a wide range of formations, worked as a session musician for artists as varied as Raphael Saadiq, Kasabian, Rag N Bone Man, Noel Gallagher, KT Tunstall and The Scissor Sisters as well as performed on movie, TV and computer game soundtracks. His 2nd jazz album, “The Stories We Tell Ourselves,” released in 2019, consists of eleven original jazz compositions and features an exciting, diverse range of artists including two time grammy nominated guitarist and vocalist, Raul Midòn. Currently it has over 2 Million streams. Gary is currently releasing a number of Jazz Beats & Lo-Fi singles showcasing his talents as a producer as well as a performer.
Gary also provides teaching and support to artists releasing their own music, guiding them through how to release music and optimise social media.
